Newly engaged couples, Hi! I am Elizabeth Jones, wedding planner & event coordinator based in Northeast Alabama. I want to share some of the reasons why having a professional wedding coordinator present on your wedding day is a necessity, not a luxury. Having a wedding in general is a luxury, the only necessities to getting married is a marriage license & an officiant! However, if you are planning a wedding, a professional planner or coordinator is totally a necessity. I am here to share the facts and limit your wedding regrets as much as possible.

Pre-Wedding Necessities

A wedding coordinator does much more than just direct events on the wedding day. Our job starts, typically, 1-2 months before your date. I create timelines and itineraries for the vendors, couple, wedding party, rehearsal, etc. I also have meetings with my clients to go over every last detail to ensure everything is planned out as seamless as possible.

"Why do I need a professional to do this?"

Only an experienced, professional wedding coordinator can create a timeline that reflects a seamless wedding day - while also taking in to account the other vendor's needs, cushion times, possibilities, etc.
So that you don't have to! Your final months of engagement should be spent celebrating and reflecting... not responding to 20 emails from all of your vendors hounding you with questions!

Wedding Day

Even if you plan your entire wedding down to every last detail, you still need a professional wedding coordinator present on your big day. Why?

You, your family, & friends have probably never coordinated an event professionally before. Weddings are different than any other event, every detail matters and the standards are extremely high.
There will be hiccups throughout the day and you need an experienced professional to know the best ways to handle them so that you and your guests aren't even aware!
You can't be the coordinator & the bride.. and you will regret trying to be. Your job is to be relaxed and pampered.
Your family and friends will enjoy your day MUCH more if the pressure is off of them and their responsibilities are small.
